Articles/Essays/Reviews must be original and should not have been submitted for publication anywhere else in any form.

The Articles/Essays/Reviews must be typed in double-space.

Word limit: Articles/Essays: between 3000 to 6000 words

Reviews: Between 1000 to 1500 words.

Articles/Essays/Review must follow the latest edition of MLA style manual.

Authors should take care to incorporate headings, subheadings, endnotes, footnotes and illustrations into the main body of the text.

Name, academic details, institutional affiliations, and mailing details should not be included anywhere in the body of the essay to facilitate confidential peer-reading. The name, academic details and mailing addresses of the contributors should be provided separately.

Articles/Essays/Reviews can be submitted in MS-Word format via e-mail as an attached document. The name of the file should be such as the title of the Articles/Essays/Reviews. A separate Word file containing the name, academic details, institutional affiliations, and mailing details should be attached to the same mail.

The subject line must be the title of the article/essay.

By submitting your articles/essays/reviews for publication in SSLC you declare that your submitted work is free from plagiarism and that you are solely responsible for non-reference or incomplete reference/acknowledgement to other sources of information.

Life members are entitled to a copy of each issue of the Journal and OPCL, the monograph published by the Department of English, SU. The membership fee is ₹2000 (Rupees Two Thousand Only).
